Sri Lanka Foreign Service Association (SLFSA) Office Bearers called on Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena February 1 at the Ministry. A number of key areas, including the ways that the SLFSA could contribute to the development and the key challenges that the Sri Lanka Foreign Service (SLFS) faces have been discussed during the meeting.
SLFSA President Wishwanath Aponsu highlighted key areas that the Foreign Service could involve in generating the goodwill among the overseas Sri Lankans and soliciting their support to the development of the country.
The Minister commended the SLFS members for projecting the country’s image abroad. The Minister also highlighted that the contribution of the diplomatic service aligned with the Government development policy should be enhanced.
