Two main roads that run through the Northwestern Province and the North Central Province connecting the two provinces will be developed by the Highways Ministry.
The roads, Ibbagamuwa-Madagalla Road and Padeniya-Anuradhapura Road will be rehabilitated at a cost of Rs. 730 million and Rs. 940 million, Highway Minister Johnston Fernando said.
A track will be set up along the Padeniya-Anuradhapura Road for cyclists, Ministry sources said.
Work on these roads will commence soon, the Minister said.
