Education Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris has directed the Department of Examinations to commence the evaluation of G.C.E.(O.L.) Examination answer scripts on March 27.
The examination concluded on March 10, said Kurunegala District Senior Education Director W. M. Balasooriya.
The Senior Education Director was addressing school heads of the Kurunegala District at Bingiriya Education Office, Kurunegala.
Accordingly, the practical tests of aesthetic subjects for these candidates would be held during May this year and the results of this examination would most probably be issued in June.
Therefore, Education Minister intends to commence the G.C.E. (A.L) classes at all Government schools by July.
About 622,000 candidates had sat for G.C.E. (O.L) Examination this year.
