Death of former Dinamina journalist

Former Dinamina journalist Manel Pushpakumari (58) passed away on Monday after a brief illness.

She worked in a number of newspapers including the now defunct Eththa newspaper and her contribution to the industry is immense.

She joined our sister newspaper Dinamina in 2009. During her career as a journalist, she covered a number of ministries which included all institutions coming under the Environment Ministry.

The funeral was held at the Udahamulla Cemetry yesterday.
