Sri Lanka Ports Authority(ALPA) Chairman Retired General Daya Rathnayake has been appointed as Industry Ministry Secretary as the present Ministry Secretary Anusha Pelpita has sought permission from the President to retire from the public service.
Pelpita in a letter to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa sought his permission to retire from public service. Retired General Daya Rathnayake has been appointed to fill the post vacated by Pelpita. Rathnayake who was the 20th Commander of the Sri Lanka Army has been Commissioner General of Rehabilitation. He has served as the Army Spokesman too. Capt. Nihal Keppitipola has been appointed as Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman.
