The Examinations Department has called applications for the re-scrutiny of results of the GCE Advanced Level Examination 2020 only via online for both school and private candidates.
The Department said the closing date of applications is July 10.
It stated that the recommendation or signature of the school Principal is not necessary for applications of school candidates due to the present pandemic situation.
The fee for the re-scrutiny per subject is Rs.250. This amount can be paid by a credit/debit card or to a post office.
There are three methods to apply online for re-scrutiny of results. “The first method is to login to the official website of the Department of Examinations https://doenets.lk and click on ‘School Examinations’ which is under ‘Our Services’. The second method is to log into DoE , the official mobile app of the Department and click on to online applications (School Examinations). The third method is to log into https://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic,” the Department stated.
“Before completing the application, reading the technical instruction sheet and watching the explanatory video on filling the application, is necessary to fill the application accurately.PDF format of the application can be downloaded and it should be kept with you. You will receive an SMS to your mobile phone after paying the relevant amount. It is the responsibility of the candidate to enter all the subjects which he/she wishes to apply accurately. The amount paid for the application will not be refunded.
“Candidates who have scored less than 30 marks for Common General Test and as a result have become ineligible for university entrance, can also forward re-scrutiny applications for that subject,” the Department announced.
