Sri Lanka still maintains one of the lowest prices in Diesel and Petrol 95 in comparison with some of the other South Asian countries, Central Bank statistics revealed.
This is even after the recent fuel hike which was done in line with the escalating global oil prices.
With added taxation and subsidies, Sri Lanka remains at a lower price level for Petrol 95 and Diesel, despite the recent surge in fuel prices declared by the government.
