The State Poson Festival and the Lake House Mihintala Aloka Pooja were inaugurated this evening by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in the presence of Most Ven. Dr. Walawahengunawewe Dhammarathana Nayake Thera, Chief Incumbent of the Mihintale Raja Maha Viharaya. Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, Trade Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, ANCL Chairman W. Dayaratne, PC and members of the Board of Directors, MPs, provincial representatives and several other invitees were present.
The ANCL/Lake House Aloka Pooja, held for the 59th consecutive year in collaboration with the Ceylon Electricity Board, is sponsored by telecom provider Dialog.
The event was held in accordance with the prevailing health guidelines.
