A combat veteran of the US Army has slammed US President Joe Biden over his handling of the chaotic military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Sean Parnell, a decorated combat veteran who has served in Afghanistan, and is also a Republican Candidate for US Senate in Pennsylvania, gave vent to his anguish on social media after multiple bombings killed hundreds of people, including at least 13 US soldiers in Kabul.
“Joe Biden has lost the moral authority to lead our nation. Americans are now dead because of his incompetence. It didn’t have to be this way. He should resign as Commander in Chief. This has not just been a silly mistake, this has been a week-long pattern of rampant incompetence,” he said in a video message on Twitter.
“Tragically that incompetence has now reportedly caused American lives. Joe Biden and his team have lied to the people, those lies have had tragic consequences. Just days ago they were telling us that Kabul was a safe haven for Americans. He bungled this from the beginning. He relied on the word of the Taliban to protect the lives of Americans,” he added.

The area around the Kabul airport was rocked by
seven simultaneous bomb blasts on Thursday evening. The death toll in these blasts has crossed 100 including at least 13 US soldiers. More than 60 US soldiers are reported to be injured.
The death toll in this blast could also increase. The Pentagon has confirmed that 12 US commandos were killed and 15 commandos injured in the blasts.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah called the bombings a terrorist act. Condemning the attack, he said that the attack was carried out by the ISIS.
According to the latest information, 143 people including women, security personnel and Taliban guards were injured in this blast. Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Kabul airport blast. Terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on its Telegram account late last night.
