‘Logistics Sinhalen’ a book written in Sinhala by Prof. Lalith Edirisinghe, is due to be released soon. This is the first logistics text book published in Sinhala.
Prof. Edirisinghe has a PhD in Transportation Planning and Logistics Management and also a Master’s degree in Business Management in International Trade and Logistics. Although it was his initial idea to write a simple textbook on logistics containing basic information for schoolchildren, later it transformed into a scientific book suitable for a cross section of society.Prof. Edirisinghe has made a paradigm shift in logistics education in Sri Lanka through this book. His attempt has been strengthened by his forty years’ experience in the industry including the Ceylon Shipping Corporation and the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka.
This book is a publication of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences of the CINEC Campus.
