The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre today issued an advisory for Heavy Rain.
According to the advisory, “the showery condition over the south-western part of the country, is expected to be enhanced due to active South-west monsoon condition.
It further stated, “Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Northwestern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.”
