A high number of persons who violated the Quarantine Curfew were arrested in Koolavady, Puthur, Thimilaitivu, Valaiyeravu, Urani, Kokuvi and Mamangam in the Batticaloa Municipality area yesterday.
They were arrested after MOH Batticaloa Dr.K. Kirisuthan urged the Police and other authorities during the COVID-19 Prevention Task Force Meeting at the Manmunai North Divisional Secretariat (28) to take immediate steps to arrest those who violate the Quarantine Curfew Regulations.
