Tata Motors is releasing an all-new glimpse of the upcoming punch SUV and the cabin curtains have been removed in the latest glimpse. The Tata Punch will be the company’s smallest SUV with a no-frills dashboard and dual-tone paint scheme. Here you’ll find blue bezels with horizontal air-con vents and a Harmon-inspired touchscreen infotainment system as seen on the Altroz and the Nexon. The infotainment system is expected to come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, possibly with IRA Connected Car technology as well.
It has also been revealed in the photo that along with the manual, the Punch can also get an AMT gearbox which will be made available with the petrol engine of the car. Tata Motors may launch the Perch in the next few weeks which will mark the start of the festive season.
The production model of the upcoming Punch, the Tata Punch has been seen in a new dual tone – Orange/Black in addition to Metallic Brown with a black roof and blue with a black roof without any stickers. The LED DRLs and dual-tone alloy wheels make it clears that this is the top model of the punch.Tone paint scheme has been seen.
The cabin of the Tata Punch has been kept clean and simple, which comes in two colors Gray and White. There are silver bezels on the horizontal AC vents, though it is worth noting that the central display is missing as seen on the Altroz and Nexon.
The car gets a 7-inch infotainment system which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Here we believe that Tata’s IRA Connected Car technology will be available with the top model. The Tata Punch will be the first SUV to be built on the Alpha-ARC and will be built on the company’s Impact 2.0 design language. Tata Motors is about to launch the new Punch Micro SUV in India during the festive season. Tata Motors has given cladding to the entire profile with the upcoming punch that is visible on the square wheel arches and side underbody.
According to the leaked photo and the glimpse released by the company, the rear of the car will be presented with small wraparound LED taillamps, sculpted tailgate and full cladding on the bumpers.Technical details of the Tata Punch have also not been revealed, though it is likely to be accompanied by a 1.2-litre Revetron petrol engine that is also being offered in Tata’s premium hatchback Altroz. This petrol engine makes 85 Bhp power and 113 Nm peak torque.
The company can give the car’s engine a 5-speed manual as usual and an AMT gearbox as an option. Once launched in the Indian market, the Tata Punch will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, and possibly the Renault Kwid.
