Education Reforms State Minister Susil Premajayantha said in Parliament yesterday (7) that the dates for the GCE Advanced Level and Year 5 Scholarship Examinations will be announced in due course but will be held next year.
The Minister was responding to a question raised by the Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa under Standing Order 27/2.
“These exams were earlier scheduled to take place in November, but due to the third wave of COVID spreading across the country, the scheduled syllabi have not been covered. Accordingly, these examinations will be held early next year, the State Minister said.The date of the examination will be announced subsequent to consultations with the Education Ministry and Examinations Department officials, the Minister said.
