Road accidents claim 29 lives in one week: Police

At least 29 people have been killed in fatal road accidents across the country in the past week.

During the last three weeks the number of fatal accidents on the roads have gone up, according to police.

Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said 35 people had been killed in 34 road accidents in the last week of September, when the curfew was to end.

Police also urge all motorists and motorcyclists to drive in accordance with the traffic rules.
