T20 WC: KL Rahul and Rohit Commence Indian Innings

Dubai:

KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are opening the Indian Innings for India in ICC T20 World Cup against Pakistan in Dubai today.

Both the openers have proved that they are in good form in the warm-up matches played before the main campaign that starts today.

Babar Azam, Pakistan Captain, chose to field after winning the toss in Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He has said “We have had good practice sessions and I am confident about our preparations. Pakistan’s bowlers are known to trouble other teams but I am confident about our batting too”.

Incidentally, Pakistan has never won a single game against Men in Blue in World Cup games. Pakistan will definitely try to take revenge of all the times, but the Virat Kohli and Co. are prepared to make the best out of everything their rivals throw at them.

Indian Captain has said “We are pretty balanced with our squad and you need to be prepared for it. We need to stay as professional as possible. We need to stay focused on the processes”.

Hardik Pandya said ahead of the game, “I don’t like to get too hyped by the situation, and my family make sure of that too. I stay away from social media because you do get excited and get the vibes. It’s simple, and we leave emotions out of the way, and keep things professional”.

He also added, “We make sure we tick the right boxes, and do the processes right. The back is fine, it was jittery, but I won’t be bowling for now. I want to be able to bowl eventually, closer to the knockouts. The professionals and I both have to take the call about when I can have a bowl”.
