Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, Northern and Southern province, stated the Meteorology Department.
Fairly heavy showers about 50 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Mathara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
