UP: 6 killed as truck rams into roadside tea stall in Ghazipur

Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh):

At least six people were killed and four others got injured after a truck rammed into a roadside tea stall in the Bhawarkol area in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur district on Tuesday.

The incident took place along Ghazipur-Ballia road at Ahirauli village in Bhawarkol, police said.

“A truck rammed into a tea stall along Ghazipur-Ballia road at Ahirauli village in Bhawarkol area, killing 6 people and injuring 4 others today morning,” said District Magistrate SP Singh.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a financial help of Rs 2 lakhs each to the kin of the six deceased and maximum support to the injured and affected.

According to reports, four people died on the spot, while two others were taken to district hospital, where they succumbed to injuries duing the course of treatment.
