Huge setback for Jacqueline as ED turns down request to cancel lookout notice in Rs 200 crore money laundering case

Ever since the infamous and biggest multi-crore extortion racket in Delhi involving the fraudster Sukesh Chandrashekhar got unfolded by the Enforcement Directorate, troubles are only mounting for actress Jacqueline Fernandez, said a report by Times of India.

ToI report said: As per the latest update in the case, the central investigation agency has now turned down her plea to cancel the lookout circular, issued against her in the case. The actress had requested ED to cancel the lookout notice so that she could travel outside the country.

However, the investigation agency has reportedly refused to do so and did not allow the actress to travel overseas. Earlier, while acting on the same lookout circular issued by the Enforcement Directorate, the airport security forces had stopped the actress at Mumbai Airport to board an international flight and asked her to go home. On the other hand, a leading news portal has published a report claiming that the conman has tried to woo Jacqueline by offering her a role in a Hollywood project. Not only this, but he even promised her roles in big-ticket South films and web shows. Meanwhile, according to reports, Jacqueline and the other actress whose name has cropped up in the case, Nora Fatehi, have now turned into ED’s witnesses. The duo even recorded their testimonies in the matter. On the question of why ED did not make Nora and Jacqueline accused in the case, a source stated that both the actresses were not aware of the real identity of Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

A source has also revealed that ED might be seizing the gifts given to these B-town divas by multimillionaire conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Earlier, according to reports, ED sources have revealed that both the actresses have admitted that they have received high-end luxurious, expensive gifts which the investigating officers are ‘free to seize.’ ‘Jacqueline told us that she didn’t know the background of Sukesh Chandrashekhar and she was ready to cooperate with us in the process of seizing the gifts given to her by Sukesh’, said the ED source in an interview.
