
Following the success of the inaugural event held last February, the “BUY SRI LANKAN – MADE IN LANKA SHOW 2022”, is back again due to popular demand and the event which is scheduled to be held on 28, 29 and 30 January at BMICH.
The main objective of the event is to promote local bands and find new markets for locally manufactured products and services. It is believed that the “BUY SRI LANKAN – MADE IN LANKA SHOW 2022” will boost local brands and give them the much needed exposure.
This event will also parallel be hosted on a virtual platform with the objective of promoting the event to overseas buyers in order to boost the exports of Sri Lanka.
Over 150 Sri Lankan companies will be exhibiting their products and services at this 3 day event. Many new and innovative exhibits will be on show. There will also be a special pavilion for the SME sector.
While many Local brands of international repute will be on display, the organizers have also reached out to many lesser known Sri Lankan manufacturers to be present at the “BE SRI LANKAN – MADE IN LANKA SHOW 2022”.
Over 10,000 buyers from Sri Lanka are expected to visit the event out of which many will be serious buyers amongst the consumers. The virtual platform will also enable international buyers to connect with the local manufacturers. This feature of the exhibition is believed to be a groundbreaking one as it will be the first ever physical trade fair hosted parallels on a virtual platform in Sri Lanka.

The Managing Director of CDC events, the organizers of “BUY SRI LANKAN – MADE IN LANKA SHOW 2022” Imran Hassan says this is an event not to be missed by Sri Lankan companies as it will help them to find new market places especially during this period of economic down turn. He also added that this event will contribute to the national efforts of increasing foreign exchange earnings of Sri Lanka.
The event is to be publicized through extensive local promotion campaigns and extensive international campaigns targeting the foreign buyers for specific areas such as food and beverage, Gem and Jewellery, Apparel, ICT etc.
