n (LNJP) Hospital continue their protest in opposition of constant delay in NEET PG Counselling 2021. The agitated protestors stated that they are fed up of ‘verbal assurance’ by the ministry.
Dr Prateek Goyal who is a General Secretary of Resident Doctors Association said, “They always give verbal assurance of expediting counselling; it’s been delayed 3-4 times already. We repeatedly demand the counselling schedule.”
The overburdened and exhausted resident doctors from all across the nation had participated in the protest from November 27 called by Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA).
Earlier, the doctor’s body announced to hold the on -going pan-India strike for a week after considering the verbal assurance of Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and in regards of sudden demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat.
“Considering the MoHFW INDIA plea for expediting NEET-PG Counselling & assurance by Hon’ble Mansukh Mandaviya Sir and looking at the security situation of the nation, FORDA has decided to hold the agitation for a week,” tweeted the official account of FORDA.
Notably, LNJP Hospital is a designated hospital for treating Coronavirus infected patients, especially, the hospital is playing a key role in treating Omicron (emerging virus of Coronavirus) patients.
The national capital has reported 10 new cases of Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Friday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said. This is the highest number of Omicron cases reported in Delhi in a single day. With the fresh infections, the total number of Omicron cases in Delhi has reached 20. Ten of the total 20 cases have been discharged, while other are admitted to LNJP Hospital in the national capital.
