Tirupati Tirimala Devasthanam starts sale of darshan tickets for January, check details here

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) has on Monday opened slots for darshan for January 2022 at Lord Venkateswara in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirumala. The temple is reopening for devotees who will have to adhere to COVID-19 protocols.

The temple was shut for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. 

For January 1 and January 13 to 22, TTD has released 20,000 tickets per day, while for January 2 to 12 and January 23 to 31, as many as 12,000 tickets will be sold out.

As per reports, the TTD has released 5,500 virtual service tickets online for January 1, 2, 13, 22, and 26. The tickets were booked within minutes.

The cost of each Seva ticket will be Rs 1 crore on all days, while the Seva ticket cost will be Rs 1.50 crore on Fridays. The tickets will be available for devotees both online and offline. 

Reports say that the board is planning to use the funds collected from the sale of tickets for three major projects, including the construction of a super-specialty children’s hospital. 

Devotees visiting the temple will have to be fully vaccinated and will have to carry a certificate of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 report for darshan.

For booking the tickets, authorities will have to provide Aadhaar card details.
