The internet is a hub of engaging and heartwarming videos of cute wildlife creatures. The adorable actions never fail to leave a smile on the faces of viewers. Now, a video of a herd of elephants rushing towards their caretaker after being apart for 14 months has gone viral on the internet.

Shared on Twitter by Buitengebieden, the video shows the herd of elephants walking towards their caretaker. In the video, the man, identified as Derek Thompson, can be seen standing in a shallow water body as the elephants approach him. The elephants greet and embrace Thompson with their trunks and he pats them.

The emotional video clip created quite a buzz on the internet since being shared on Friday.  As of now, it has garnered 3.7 million views, 158k likes and more than 25k retweets. The netizens also flocked the comment sections with their reactions. While some expressed their adoration for elephants, others commented on how beautiful the reunion was.
