New Delhi:
Several state governments on Monday have decided to reopen schools while following all COVID-19 protocols on school campuses strictly.
Each government has given out different directives to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that the schools can conduct the offline classes for standard 1 to 12 from February 1. The school authorities can allow only 50 per cent of students in each classroom.
“Madhya Pradesh government has decided to reopen schools for Classes 1 to 12 with 50 per cent capacity from February 1,” said CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan
On the same day, Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee also allowed all the educational institutions icluding universities to revert to physical classes from February 3. However, the schools will reopen for classes 8-12 only.
She said,”Schools in West Bengal for classes 8 to 12, colleges, universities to reopen from February 3.”
Meanwhile, the schools in Himachal Pradesh will also reopen from February 1. The state chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Monday made the announcement after a review meeting on Coronavirus situation across the state.
As per the official announcement, the students of classes 9-12 will join schools from February 3. Only 50 per cent of students are allowed to sit in a single classroom. All the schools can make the arrangements accordingly.
