‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is one of the most-awaited movies of the year. Yash won millions of hearts in KGF and fans are super excited to see ‘Rocky Bhai’ in part two as well. On the actor’s birthday, a new poster has been unveiled confirming the release date and it has taken over the internet.
With the rise in Covid cases, many film’s release dates have taken a shift, many releases have been delayed and the same was expected with Yash-starrer ‘KGF: Chapter 2.’ Fans were upset with it but on actor’s birthday came such an update that the fans started dancing with joy.
The Sandalwood superstar took to social media to make the announcement. He also hyped up the movie that is a sequel to 2018’s KGF. The film’s director Prashanth Neel returns to helm the second part. He has also written the script.
Talking to a leading daily about the ongoing pandemic, Yash said, “Not just the cinema industry but a lot of people are going through a bad phase… there is no consistency in their incomes, plus there is psychological pressure.”
He further added, “We are equally excited about presenting the film to our fans because we know what we have created. I know people will love it. It is like you are a cook and everything is ready and you know people are hungry but there is some process you need to finish. That’s taking time.”
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will make his Sandalwood debut in KGF Chapter 2. Dutt will portray the villain, Adheera. Also, the movie will star Bollywood’s diva Raveena Tandon.
‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is a follow-up of the Kannada blockbuster ‘KGF: Chapter 1’. Starring South star Yash in the lead, the first part’s narrative follows an underdog who later becomes a dangerous gangster. The upcoming sequel is said to follow the power struggle between Rocky (Yash) and Adheera (Sanjay).
Helmed by Prashanth Neel, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is scheduled to release on April 14, 2022.
KGF 2 will be released in multiple languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the movie also stars Srini.
