Birmingham: The young Indian Jeremy Lalrinnunga wins gold in the weightlifting. The 19-year-old has left the world in awe as he lifts a total of 300 kg in Commonwealth Games 2022.
Jeremy Lalrinnunga wins gold in weightlifting
Jeremy set a Commonwealth Games record in snatch round of 67 kg category by lifting 140 kg, 10 kg more than the second best in the list.
Lalrinnunga is the youngest Indian weightlifter of the contingent and he is playing in his debut Commonwealth Games. The performance of the young weightlifter will be inspiring for many Indians as he clinches gold with a lead of 7 kg.
First Indian to win GOLD in Youth Olympics
Earlier in 2018, Jeremy Lalrinnunga became the first Indian to win a gold medal at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. The Mizoram lifter was touted as one for the future in the sport but while he managed to shatter youth world records.
