Agra: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Agra where a young man jumped into the Yamuna river. Before jumping into the river, the youth put up a WhatsApp status saying ‘Sorry Mummy-Papa’.
After the incident, the Agra Police rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to find the boy. Family of the deceased also rushed to the spot on receiving information.
The incident took place on Sunday night. Agra Police station in-charge Vijay Vikram Singh said that Karmaveer Singh Pauniya was preparing for army recruitment. He was unable to succeed. Because of this he was in depression.
He has jumped into the Yamuna at Nagla Talfi, Agra. Police and PAC divers are searching for him. At the same time, the family members told that Karmaveer had posted suicide status on his WhatsApp on the night. In it, he wrote that forgive the parents. I could not get any government job. I am committing suicide
Mobiles and slippers were found kept in the boat
After the information of the family members, the police reached the spot. The police have recovered his slippers and mobile in a boat present at the spot. Police say that they are looking for him. He was searched till late Sunday evening too, but due to nightfall, the operation had to be stopped. A search has been made for him on Monday morning as well.
