Two schoolchildren who went swimming in the Madampa river in Ambalangoda drifted into the sea around 5 pm on Thursday and drowned and disappeared. The bodies of both students were found yesterday. The victims were students of Kaluwadumulla Vidyalaya in Ambalangoda.Police said that three students have gone swimming in the river and residents in the area have rescued one of them.
These three students went to practice football after school and then went swimming.
