Ceylon Tenny Tea, a pioneer among the new breed of companies that are taking the Ceylon Tea brand to new heights, recently won a silver award in the Tea and Tea Based Products Category – Medium Scale Enterprises at the National Exports Awards 2022, organized by the National Chamber of Exporters. The gala event, which recognizes the invaluable services rendered by Sri Lankan exporters to boost the country’s economy, was held at Shangri La Hotel. H. D. T. George, Managing Director of Ceylon Tenny Tea Pvt Ltd received the award on behalf of the company. Ceylon Tenny Tea has won many prestigious awards including ‘The Best Flavored Tea of The Year.’
The four main areas of focus of the organization are tea bags, tea packets, bulk products, and value-added teas. Among the most popular exports are Black Tea, Green Tea, Herbal Tea, and Flavored Tea. The company frequently takes part in international tea trade fairs and exports under the Tenny Leaf brand. Among the main export markets are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Russia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, India, Libya, Indonesia, Turkey, and Taiwan. The main factory of Ceylon Tenny Tea is located at Kelaniya, and they have obtained the ISO22000 quality certificate.
