A son who beat his father to death with a cricket bat following an argument has been arrested by the Kattankudy police.The 65 year old victim is a retired bank manager.
The suspect, K.Rajamagan (32), a resident of Kallady, has been remanded till March 28 after being produced in the Batticaloa court. The suspect, who is a shop owner, allegedly attacked his father with a cricket bat on March 16, following an argument.
The victim K.Karuneiraraja (65), died on Tuesday (21) while receiving treatment at the Batticaloa Hospital. The suspect is a father of two who is married to a woman in Dehiwala area.
The police also said that his wife has left him.
