<p>Five policemen attached to the Beliatte police have been suspended for helping an inmate in their custody to smoke cannabis.</p>
<p>A senior police officer said that the services of three sergeants and two constables had been suspended in this connection.</p>
<p>Subsequent investigation revealed the suspect had two more reefers and a lighter in his possession.</p>
