Police seize drugs from Kottawa and Nugegoda

<p><img src="" alt="Featured Image"></p><p><!-- wp:html --><p>The Police yesterday detected 13 kilos of heroin worth 400 million rupees during anti-drug operations carried out at Kottawa and Nugegoda. They also arrested two suspects.</p>
<p>The consignments of narcotics belonged to an underworld gangster named Dubai Kapila, police said.The police also said the suspects had distributed about a tonne of drugs in the country during past two years.</p>
<p>The police Special Task Force (STF) first arrested a motorist with 1.2 kilos of heroin at Rukmale Road, Kottawa.</p>
<p>During questioning the suspect revealed that there were more drugs in a house near the Sri Jayewardenepura University. The police took into custody 12.1 kilos of drugs from there. Six kilos of hashish were also found.</p>
<p>One and a half million rupees suspected to have been earned from the sale of narcotics too was taken into police custody from the suspect.
