Dr. Hemali appointed VP of the Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau of the World Organization for Animal Health

<p><img src="" alt="Featured Image"></p><p><!-- wp:html --><p>Dr. Hemali Kothalawala, the Director General of the Department of Animal Production and Health, has been appointed as the Vice President of the Asia-Pacific Regional Bureau of the World Organization for Animal Health.</p>
<p>She recently represented Sri Lanka at the Annual General Assembly of the World Organization for Animal Health held in Paris, France.</p>
<p>Accompanied by a delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industry, Mahinda Amaraweera, she participated in the conference. Minister Amaraweera also delivered a speech during the conference, highlighting the initiatives undertaken in Sri Lanka for the promotion of animal production and health.</p>
<p>The Department of Animal Production and Health operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Plantation. Dr. Hemali Kotalawala holds a degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Peradeniya.
