<p><img src="" alt="Featured Image"></p><p><!-- wp:html --><p>The Hydrology and Disaster Management Division of the Department of Irrigation has issued a <strong>Major Flood Warning</strong> for the Kuda Ganga sub basin of the Kalu Ganga.at 10.30am today 02) valid till 10.30 AM on 04th of June 2024</p>
<p>A considerable amount rainfall has occurred in the catchment areas of Kuda Ganga Sub Basin of Kalu Ganga as of 10.30 am today and the Kukule hydropower reservoir is spilling at a high rate of 400-meter cube per second.</p>
<p>By analyzing the situation and river water levels of Hydrological Stations in Kalu Ganga, it is warned that there is a possibility of a Major flood situation occurring in lowlying areas of Kuda Ganga and Maguru Ganga valleys situated in Bulathsinhala, Madurawala and Palinda Nuwara Divisional Secretaries Divisions.</p>
<p><strong>As a result, already inundated roads may become highly vulnerable and dangerous for crossing. The residents and vehicle drivers running through those areas are requested to pay high attention in this regard.
