Across the globe, countries come together to honour the diversity and resilience of LGBTQ+ communities. (LGBTQ+ encompasses individuals who identify as gay, bisexual, transgender and those who challenge traditional gender norms).</p>
<p>This year, the LGBTQ+ community organised the 'Freedom Pride March – 2024.' The march commenced from Kollupitiya, Colombo and culminated at Viharamahadevi Park. It served as a powerful expression of solidarity, advocacy and empowerment for LGBTQ+ rights and visibility.</p>
