The Batticaloa Police has initiated a campaign to prevent and reduce road accidents in the district.
Batticaloa and Ampara district DIG Yagodaarachchi opened the programme by unveiling a large notice board instructing drivers of rules and regulations.
Batticaloa district SSP Dinesh Karunaratna and Batticaloa SP K.B. Keerthiratna personally pasted stickers on buses, three-wheelers and other vehicles reminding drivers of road rules.
