The Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) at Angoda will be developed as a WHO affiliated institution, Health Services Director General Dr. Palitha Mahipala said.
According to him, IDH will be developed as an infectious disease control hospital. All laboratory medical testing facilities at the Medical Research Institute (MRI) are presently available at IDH.
Dr. Mahipala said staff attached to this hospital are well qualified and dedicated to their duties.
The IDH (fever dospital) focuses on controlling infections, and it is specialised in controlling and treating dengue and other infectious diseases.
