Sri Lanka Navy personnel stationed at the Hambantota port to had rendered their assistance to nine merchant vessels berthed at the harbour between December 10 – 20, the Navy said.
The Navy personnel had engaged in key operations at the port, including handling mooring ropes, operating tugs and pilot boats, and loading and unloading vehicles and cargo.
The nine merchant vessels are: MV Hyperion Highway, MV Hoyanger, MV Glovis Phoneix, MV Van Cherry, MV Pearl Ace, MV Paglia, MV Morning Christina, MV Positive Brave, and MV Delphinus Leader.
