Establishing peace and reconciliation in Sri Lanka will be in the forefront of the government agedna, Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said.
According to the minister, peace and reconciliations are two main requirements for Sri Lanka to build one nation. Today Buddhism, Christianity and other religions are used by different elements for different purposes. No religion preach violence. He was addressing the gathering after donating school instrument for 200 schoolchildren in Beruwala yesterday.
The minister said Buddhism teach not to take revenge and Christianity preach to love neighbours. All should read Bible and Quran. Today some persons use religion only for their welfare. Worshiping and believing our own religions does not create any divisions among different religious groups. The last expectation is liberation, he said.
Jesus Christ created a struggle against Roman dictators and he joined with the suffering ordinary people.
Christianity is the most practised religion and the Jesus Christ dedicated his entire life for his religion.
All human leaders in the world involved in bitter struggles, he added.
