The Sarasaviya Film Awards, one of the country’s prominent film awards ceremonies to identify, reward and felicitate Sri Lankan Films and those involved in it, the actresses, the actors, the directors, the musicians and the lyricists among others, will be held today at the Nelumn Pokuna Theatre, Colombo.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will be the Chief Guest. The festival, which will recognize the excellence in the art of Sri Lankan cinema, is organized by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd.(Lake House ) together with its weekly newspaper devoted for cinema, The Sarasaviya. (CHW)
