‘Drugs shortage at Apeksha will be resolved in two weeks’

The shortage of drugs at the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital will be resolved in two weeks, Health Ministry sources said.

The hospital lacks three drugs for cancer patients, hospital sources said.

Two of them will be available this week. The shortage occurred with an issue in the procurement. The hospital management has directed the staff to buy the drugs through the hospital for the patients who need them, the hospital sources said.

Health Ministry sources confirmed that funds were released for the hospital to buy the drugs from the private sector to meet urgent requirements.
