Three members of Aava group was taken into custody by officers of the Jaffna Crime Division on a tip-off in Jaffna yesterday.
They are alleged to have attacked two persons causing grievous injuries near the Naachchiamman Temple in Jaffna on January 15.
Police have taken two swords allegedly used in the crime from the suspects’ possession.
The suspects have been remanded till today for an identification parade when they were produced before the Jaffna Magistrate’s Court. Jaffna Police are conducting further investigations.
