The sister of National Thawheed Jamaath (NTJ) Leader ISIS terrorist Mohamed Zaharan Hasheem was arrested by the Batticaloa Police at her house at Kappal Aleem Road, New Kaththankudy. The Suspect Muhammadu Hashim Madaniiya had Rs. 2 million cash in her possession at the time of arrest.
When other members of Zaharan’s family died in the attack at Saindamarudu she was resident at the Kappal Aleem Road house.
Meanwhile, a part of an Army uniform and a stock of equipment was seized by the Vavuniya Police yesterday from a house in Korilkulam, Vavuniya.
Police also stated that they had recovered several photographs and video clips of the bomb blasts that took place at several places from the suspect’s mobile phone.
It was revealed that several photographs relating to bomb blasts that took place on April 21 had been found on the suspect’s phone.
Police further informed that they also recovered several photographs taken with this suspect from the possession of two other suspects who were arrested in Gampola.
