Sumathi appointed Additional Solicitor General

Sumathi Dharmawardena was appointed as an additional solicitor General. He is an Attorney at Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and he joined the Attorney General’s’ Department as a State Counsel in 1994. He has an LLM from the National University of Singapore. He was appointed as Adjudicator of the Kuala Lumpur International Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), Malaysia. The Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration of China appointed Sumathi Dharmawardena as a member to the Panel of Arbitrators from February 21, 2019.

He held the posts of Senior State Counsel, Deputy Solicitor General and Senior Deputy Solicitor General at the Attorney General’s Dept in 25 years.
