Panadura Chief Magistrate Amila Ariyadasa imposed a total fine of Rs 70,000 on Kapila Randima Silva (18) who pleaded guilty to five charges of violating the amended traffic laws in the country. The accused was charged by the Panadura South Traffic Police Sergeant Jayasinghe and Perera for riding a motorcycle without a riding licence, a Revenue Licence, an Insurance certificate and riding the motorcycle in a reckless and negligent manner in Galle Road without wearing a helmet.
