The US embassy’s newly appointed Defence Attaché to Sri Lanka, Lt. Colonel Travis Cox made his maiden visit to the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff and paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, together with Deputy Defence Attache, Karin Gleisner. Cox has served in many command and staff positions in the United States of America, Europe and Asia. He has conducted operational deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq and Kosovo. He has served at Embassies in Malaysia, India and Afghanistan.
