Marking International AIDS Day, the office of the Kalmunai Regional Director of Health Services, in collaboration with the office of the Ninatavur Medical Officer of Health, held an awareness march on the topic in Nintavur, recently.
The march proceeded from the Nintavur Vocational Training Centre to the office of the Ninatavur Medical Officer of Health. Health Ministry officials, doctors and nurses, members of volunteer organisations, students from the Vocational Training Centre, and residents of the area participated in the march.
A meeting between the organisers and participants was also held following the march.
Nintavur Medical Officer of Health Dr. Thasleema Basheer, Nintavur Divisional Secretary T.M. Ansar, Dr. H.B.N. Jeevani, and Dr. Nagoor Aariff were also present.
