Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Piries informed the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today that Cardinal Malcom Ranjith will provide his statement after the Christmas pertaining to the Easter Sunday attacks.
Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Piries appearing on behalf of the Attorney General’s Department today informed the Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage that court will have to take necessary actions against the former President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and speaker of the parliament Karu Jayasuriya, if they failed to provide a date before the next calling date for the Criminal Investigations Department to record statements from them.
DSG Dileepa Piries also stated that it is essential to record statements from former President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and several minsters pertaining to the Easter Sunday Bomb Attack.
