Investment Promotions Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said that the next parliament will not have extremists.Rambukwella was addressing pocket meetings in Godamuna, Arambegama, Dehianga, Kiribathkumbura in the Yatinuwara electorate recently. He said it is the time to end the political extremism.
He further said the country must be developed and all sections should support in this regard. “So, extremism should be removed. He the people will get the benefit of the development very fast.
Over 100,000 resource persons will be employed to carry out development schemes, he said. He said politicians should set up appropriate measures to eradicate poverty.
The Minister said the last regime destroyed the economy of the country.
“Two siblings of a minister destroyed the spices market severely affecting spice cultivators. Licences of a few re-exporters were cancelled to protect the spice market and its stakeholders,” he said. He said the country is gradually turning to a workplace now. Unlike in the past, no extremists can form governments now, he said. “We never let extremism to raise its head again,” he added.
