Gokarella Police arrested a woman for killing her infant on December 24.
She had dumped the infant body into a lavatory pit, police said.
A resident of Maduragoda in the Gokarella Police area, the woman is a mother of two.
Her husband had died two years ago.
The woman had given birth to the infant on December 24 and killed it. Gokarella Police are investigating.
